Diverse Pathways supports young people living with disability to discover their strengths, build confidence and practical life skills, and prepare for meaningful employment in a safe, supportive and hands-on environment
What is Employment Readiness?
Employment Readiness includes much more than writing a resume or attending interviews. It focuses on building the everyday capabilities that employers value and that support success in the workplace. They are often referred to as NDIS-funded programs - Employment Assistance Programs or SLES.
Our program assists to develop the practical skills, confidence, behaviours and independence needed to successfully enter and maintain employment. It's about being ready for work, not just finding a job. It includes skills such as getting to and from work, working in a team, problem solving, understanding workplace communication and building confidence in real work settings.
Whether the goal is employment, further education, volunteering or greater independence, we help each young person discover their strengths, build self-confidence and prepare for a meaningful and successful future.
Who is Employment Readiness for?
Youths leaving school or who have recently left school
Ages can vary but they are usually around 15 to 22 years old
Usually an NDIS participant with employment-related goals
Often need extra support to build skills, confidence and independence before moving into work

Whilst we tailor our programs to suit the needs and goals of our participants, below are example of some of our most accessed skills programs.
Hospitality & Retail
Customer service, café skills, food preparation, barista basics, handling payments and front-of-house confidence.
Animal Care
Farm animal care, pet care, feeding, grooming, animal welfare and routine care tasks.
Trades & Outdoor Work
Woodwork, basic maintenance, garden care, horticulture, greenkeeping and practical tool safety.
Administration
Microsoft Office, typing, reception skills, email, phone etiquette, filing and basic office tasks.
