Participants in Diverse Pathways Basic Woodwork SLES program will advance their woodworking skills by learning essential techniques such as measuring, cutting, sanding, joining, and finishing. Using both hand and power tools, they will work on individual and collaborative projects, from furniture pieces to building a workbench. Under expert guidance, they will refine craftsmanship, problem-solving, and attention to detail in a safe, inclusive environment.

The Woodwork SLES program fosters confidence and creativity, equipping participants with practical skills for further woodworking pursuits or career opportunities. By the end of the Basic Woodwork SLES program, neurodiverse young people will have hands-on experience and the ability to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm and precision.

  • 2 days per week x 10 weeks x 4 terms
    (as per school terms)
