Participants of Diverse Pathways' Garden Care & Maintenance SLES Program will learn essential gardening skills, including planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and mulching to maintain healthy garden beds and landscapes. They will gain knowledge in plant identification, care, and maintenance, learning to assess plant health and provide proper care.
The Garden Care & Maintenance SLES Program covers soil health, composting, soil amendment, and organic gardening practices, promoting sustainable methods. NDIS participants will engage in seasonal tasks such as planting flowers, preparing beds for winter, and harvesting vegetables, fostering a deeper connection to nature.
Through these hands-on activities, participants will build confidence, pride, and a sense of accomplishment in caring for gardens.
