Participants of the General Cooking SLES Program at Diverse Pathways will learn essential cooking and baking skills, including knife skills, food safety, kitchen etiquette, and meal planning. They will master techniques for baking and creating both sweet and savory dishes, exploring a diverse range of recipes and culinary traditions from around the world.
The General Cooking SLES Program covers ingredient measurement, mixing, decorating, and budgeting, empowering participants to make healthy, economical food choices. Through hands-on experiences, participants will gain confidence in the kitchen, improve their culinary abilities, and build community by cooking and sharing meals with peers, fostering independence and creativity in the kitchen.
