Participants of the Basic Handyperson Skills School Leavers Employment Support (SLES) program will develop practical handyman skills, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, landscaping, and general maintenance.

With Basic Handyperson Skills SLES, clients will receive hands-on training and personalised support, learning safe work practices, tool usage, and hazard awareness. The Basic Handyperson Skills SLES program emphasises fostering independence, confidence, and social inclusion through real-world tasks.

By actively engaging in property maintenance, Neurodiverse SLES participants gain a sense of responsibility and pride in their work. The handyperson skills learned prepare them for tackling common household projects and equip them with the expertise needed for roles in property maintenance or similar fields, all within a supportive and inclusive environment.
