PROGRAM PURPOSE AND GOALS:
 
​Developing Emotional Regulation:
Building with Lego involves following instructions and waiting for turns teaches self-control. Overcoming building challenges enhances resilience and frustration tolerance further developing problem solving skills. It is also a soothing and repetitive activity that can aid in reducing anxiety.

Strengthening Cognitive Skills:
Following instructions and assembling structures enhances concentration improving focus and attention. The more complex builds require thinking ahead and strategizing encouraging the participants plan their next steps. While manipulating the pieces it strengthens fine motor skills and spatial reasoning further developing the participants spatial awareness.
