15 - 25 years
Participants of Revive and Restore School Leavers Employment Support (SLES) program will learn essential furniture restoration techniques, including sanding, staining, painting, refinishing, and repair. Young neurodiverse and people with disability will gain hands-on experience using tools and materials commonly employed in furniture refurbishment, building confidence in their skills.
Through real restoration projects, such as vintage chairs, tables, and antique cabinets, NDIS supported participants will apply their creativity and craftsmanship to restore worn-out pieces.
In Revive and Restore Furniture Restoration SLES program equips neurodivergent and young people with disability with practical skills in woodworking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, preparing them for careers in furniture restoration, woodworking, or related fields, while fostering a passion for transforming forgotten pieces into valuable works of art.
