Participants will develop essential sewing and textile skills, including operating a sewing machine, reading patterns, and stitching various seams. They will explore creative techniques such as hand embroidery, appliqué, fabric dyeing, and surface design. Through hands-on projects, they will create garments, accessories, home décor, and textile art, applying their skills in practical and artistic ways.

The program also fosters problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and time management. With a supportive environment for creative expression, participants gain confidence and a strong foundation for personal projects, entrepreneurial ventures, or careers in fashion, textile design, and fabric arts.

Sewing and Textiles SLES Program

  • 2 days per week x 10 weeks x 4 terms
