At Diverse Pathways, we’re always exploring new and creative ways to support neurodiverse young people—and one of the most exciting additions to our Groups program is Dungeons & Dragons (D&D).

You might think of D&D as just a fantasy roleplaying game—and it is. But it’s also so much more. With the right facilitation, D&D becomes a powerful therapeutic and developmental tool. Our D&D-based group program, guided by an experienced Dungeon Master, turns imaginary quests into real-world growth opportunities for young people.
What Is Dungeons & Dragons?
Dungeons & Dragons is a collaborative storytelling game where players take on the roles of fantasy characters—wizards, warriors, rogues, and more—who explore worlds, solve puzzles, and face challenges together. Each session is a unique adventure filled with imagination, teamwork, and decision-making.
But behind the dragons and dice rolls lies a hidden treasure: the chance to build essential life skills in a safe and engaging environment.
